This week starts banned book week throughout the country. Around the library you'll find displays of a variety of different banned books. Come in and check one out!
I think this quote from John F. Kennedy is particularly appropriate for the week:

Mockingjay is here! Come by and check it out! I'm about halfway through and it's gripping.

Beginning of the Year
Hi everyone!
We got off to a fantastic start today! I enjoyed meeting all the students.
As many of you already know, the library is closed to general students for this week, and until Wednesday of next week. Since there was so much construction this summer we're trying to get everything ready so the media center looks great and we can serve your needs effectively when you start coming in.
Along with that, we just received our first shipment of books for the year. We have the new Twilight book along with some other great stuff that you should check out. It will be ready to go when the library opens up next week! Hopefully we'll have Mockingjay by then as well.
Finally, let us know what you think of our new book display as you walk into the library. If you have other suggestions for that space, please tell us.

New books and other news
Hello!
I'm excited to start having students in the library. Along with that, we just submitted our first book order for the year. This includes the new Twilight book, the last book of the Hunger Games trilogy (Mockingjay) along with other books you'll love.
Along with this, we're looking for suggestions for how to display new books and books you might like to read, along with other suggestions for the design of the library that will make it more useful and comfortable for our students and faculty. Feel free to post any suggestions in the comments section.
Finally, we'd like to start a book club this year. Does anyone have any suggestions on a book title? A time that would be convenient to meet?
